Privacy Policy
Our foundational commitment to local processing, data sovereignty, and full technical transparency.
1. Zero-Upload Architecture
When you select or drop a file into any tool on JR LocalLab, the file is read exclusively into your browser's local memory (RAM) via standard HTML5 File APIs. Our application contains no backend infrastructure, database servers, or serverless functions to receive or store your media. All computation—including audio demuxing, neural background segmentation, raster-to-vector tracing, and PDF manipulations—runs on your personal device hardware.
2. No File Storage or Persistence
We strictly enforce a policy against persistent storage of user files:
- Our code never writes your uploaded files, processed output, or metadata to
localStorage,IndexedDB, Cache Storage, or cookies. - All working image buffers, canvas contexts, and audio chunks reside only in volatile memory during active processing.
- All temporary object URLs created for preview or download are revoked upon clearing the workbench or closing the browser tab.
3. Third-Party Advertising Scripts & Cookies
To keep JR LocalLab completely free and accessible without mandatory user subscriptions or paywalls, third-party advertising partners (such as Adsterra) deliver advertisements across non-tool sections of the site.
These advertising networks operate independently outside of the media processing workbench containers. Under no circumstances are your uploaded media, documents, or processed files made accessible or transmitted to third-party ad providers.
Third-party advertising partners may place or read cookies, web beacons, or unique device identifiers to deliver relevant contextual or interest-based advertising in compliance with standard digital advertising practices. You may manage your cookie preferences at any time through our on-site cookie settings or through your browser's privacy settings.
4. Verification and Auditability
We encourage users to inspect and verify network traffic at any time. By opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12) and navigating to the Network tab with the Fetch/XHR filter enabled, you can independently prove that zero outbound HTTP requests containing your file bytes are transmitted during the entire conversion or editing lifecycle.
5. Children's Privacy
JR LocalLab does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under the age of 13. Since no personal accounts, registrations, or remote profile storage exist on this platform, no personal user information is retained on our systems.
