LGPL-3.0 Compliance Notice
The MP3 encoding functionality on this site utilizes @breezystack/lamejs, licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3.0 (LGPL-3.0). To comply with LGPL requirements:
- The encoder code is compiled as a standalone, dynamically loaded Web Worker module chunk, separate from the primary application logic.
- No proprietary modifications have been made to the underlying LAME algorithm implementation.
- Users have the right to inspect and replace the standalone encoder bundle with alternative compatible builds.
Hand-Written Native Codecs
To keep bundle sizes ultra-lean and avoid bloated, non-compliant third-party runtimes, the following codec writers were authored entirely in-house under the project's open MIT terms:
- WAV Writer: 16-bit linear PCM uncompressed RIFF audio serializer.
- ADTS Header Muxer: 7-byte raw AAC frame header injector for zero-transcode stream copying.
- BMP Writer: 24-bit uncompressed Windows DIB bitmap encoder.
- ICO Writer: Multi-resolution Icon Directory and PNG-in-ICO container assembler.
- EPS Writer: Adobe PostScript Level 2 EPSF-3.0 bounding-box and vector path generator.
- DXF Writer: AutoCAD R12 ASCII standard drawing exchange format generator.
